About Merima Bruncevic

I hold an LLD in jurisprudence. My research fields are intellectual property law, cultural heritage law and legal philosophy. I have studied the concept of the cultural commons and the possibilities of introducing such a concept to law or giving it a legal platform. I am particularly interested in legal theory, continental philosophy, and philosophical methods applied to law. I have previously used the rhizome theory by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari in my research in order to discuss the cognitive openness of law as well as issues concerning cultural heritage, justice, sustainable development and global distributive justice. I teach legal philosophy and intellectual property law at the Department of Law, University of Gothenburg.
