About Andreas Moberg

I teach EU Law, mainly on the LL.M Programme, but also on the Bachelor- and Master's programmes in European Studies.

My research has focused on EU external relations in general, both from a Public International Law perspective as well as from an EU-Law perspective. More specifically, I have written about how the EU has employed contractual clauses as instruments to spread human rights, democracy and the rule of law throughout the world.

Currently, I am working on a two research projects. The first project engages in a comparative analysis of the rules governing the appointment of judges to the Court of Justice of the EU. The second project analyses how the rules in the EU-treaty for the protection of the principle of rule of law are applied.

I am the deputy director of CERGU (Centre for European Research at the University of Gothenburg) and a member of the advisory board of PIL.
